Elizabeth's Schedule

Elizabeth Lyons welcomes the opportunity to speak to mothers of twins clubs, expectant parents of twins, Moms Retreat participants, and other interested parties. She cleverly and succinctly sheds humorous light on the joys and challenges of raising multiples (and parenting in general) as well as the ways in which it is possible to clarify one's purpose in life—even in the midst of chaos.

Some of Elizabeth's Most Popular Topics

Keynote: Serenity Now! Finding (and Keeping) Life Purpose and Balance as a Mom of Multiples
Moms of multiples are multi-dimensional experts. For starters, we're cleaners, chefs, chauffeurs, and negotiators, and we run our homes with CEO-level management skills. But somewhere, between the fourth and four hundredth diaper, we all experience an "Is this it?" moment. In a world where we're dominated by to-do lists and limited by having only two arms, we lose ourselves somewhere along the line. Even though they are holding on for dear life, Elizabeth shows moms how to hang on to themselves. She reminds moms that it is possible to clarify their purpose in life even in the midst of chaos.

Workshop: Nurturing Your Marriage While Raising Twins (a.k.a Secrets to Not Killing Your Spouse)
Finding the bliss that brought you to the altar can be a challenge after multiples enter the picture. Somewhere between the blur of the first three sleep-free months, ducking for cover when "one more bite" is launched by your toddlers, negotiating over wearing a Halloween costume to Aunt Mildred's wedding, and battling over homework, the spark becomes harder and harder to ignite. This workshop explores the myths and realities of what hurts as well as what sustains a happy marriage for parents of multiples. It provides women with a game plan for rekindling their connection with their spouse, letting go of the "he-doesn't-get-it" mindset, and moving toward an ever-growing relationship. (Don't worry, none of the solutions involve lingerie!).

Workshop: Finders Keepers: Discovering and Nurturing Your Spirit While Raising Multiples
Mothers of multiples quickly dismiss many of today's approaches to spiritual growth. If jetting to a remote island for two weeks, practicing yoga for two hours a day, or meditating for even two seconds each morning (with corn flakes and complaints flying over your head) doesn't fit between the fluff and fold cycles, there's still hope. There are concrete, attainable, and sustainable ways for mothers to connect with their spirit, to identify their purpose, and to nurture themselves at the same time they're nurturing everyone else. This workshop explores those approaches, and leaves women with an action plan that they can put into place to ensure success in the long term.

What Past Participants are Saying

"She's hilarious and honest and tells it like it is—even though it isn't always pretty!"

—Bari Baskin, Founder of Multiplematters.com and mother of 2-year-old twins

"Elizabeth's lightheartedness and humor are her forte when speaking to parents of multiples. She has a true knack for offering advice and guidance with an offbeat, comedienne-like approach. But in the midst of their laughter, her audiences intensely absorb her suggestions and encouragement."

—Kim Bretschwitz, RN, BSN, LCCE, Marvelous Multiples instructor
